I cant believe this is already my third blog post!! I would like to talk a little about my sewing adventure that I have gone thru this past year. I was obsessing having my own sewing machine and start learning how to quilt and sew basic stuff. I posted on facebook that I really wanted to get a sewing machine. One of my friends mentioned that her mom was getting rid of one. I was so excited to finally have a sewing machine. After a tune up and some new needles it was like new again. I finally had my very own sewing machine Yay! Little did I know that it was going to unleash a sewing beast in me. I learned how to use the sewing machine in August. Since then I have sewn 5 purses a multi pocket hobby bag, 1 car seat blanket, a full size quilt and started another quilt. Here are a few of my completed projects....

As some of you may not know my dad passed away this time last year of a heart attack. With everything that our family had to endure due to my dad passing I NEEDED some form of stress relief. Sewing, quilting, crafting, cooking and organizing has kept me sane this past year. I have a ton of pictures and ideas that I will continue to share with you all.
As a side note I defrosted the turkey for too many days. When I went to put it in the roasting pan it smelled funky. Needless to say I didn't end up cooking it. So whole turkey roasting will have to wait for another day.
