Fall Wreath and Other Ramblings

Hello everyone
As I mentioned in post last week that I would be posting a fall wreath craft. Here it is! I think the final product came out gorgeous. It was very time consuming. But well worth it.  If you would like to replicate it here is a list of materials I used.
•2 rolls each of red, yellow, orange and brown ribbon. (Each roll was 8 yds.)
•1 medium wire wreath
•One premade large ribbon
Cut the ribbon in about 5 inch strips. Do this for the whole roll. Once all the colors are cut you can start tying the ribbon on the wreath. I admit that the cutting part is the most time consuming part.
To tie the ribbon onto the wreath I fold one piece of ribbon in half and loop that around one wire. Open up the loop and pull the ends through. If you need more instructions look up larks head knot.  Make sure the knot is tight. Keep going until all the ribbon is tied on. As you can see on the picture there are 4 different wires. I tied the same color all on one ring then moved to the next color and next ring. If you want to put random colors on the same ring go for it.
You don't have to use the same colors as me. Halloween could be orange, black, green and purple. If you want to make a  Christmas red, green, silver and gold or white would look beautiful together.  Make it your own. If you do try this craft post it on Instagram under #petalsanpearlswreath.
I will be posting soon about back to school. I was hoping to get that up last weekend. However  I was unable to find some of the items I wanted to get my daughter. I am hoping that will be up  before the weekend and so will a post about our adventure to the zoo.
Bye for now
Kelly
