Confessions of a Mom

Have you ever? Your child is now a teen but you still check in on them at night to make sure they are alive. I find myself doing this every night. Because you never know, what if they get entangled in their blankets and cant get out, what if they are suddenly scared of the dark and need their mommy. I know that she is going to be perfectly fine but sometimes I wish she needed me at night like she use to when she was little.
Have you ever? You make a certain food after the kids go to bed so that you can have a it all to yourself or the precious first bite. I don't do this all the time but sporadically I buy a special food item  that I want it all to myself and not have to share. I get to eat this all myself mwhahaha, five bites in ugh now I'm full. Come on people I know I'm not the only one who does this.
Have you ever? You are driving home from the store you suddenly have to stop short. You automatically put your arm out as to protect your kid  who is usually sitting in the front seat except this time its just your purse and a few bags of groceries. I do this all the time. My daughter is finally old enough (13) and heavy enough (110 lbs) to sit in the front seat. I am so use to her sitting in the front next to me that even when she isn't there I still put my arm out and I laugh every time. Why do we do that anyway? I mean I know its a form of protection but its like I really don't think my arm is more protection then the seatbelt. Unless you are superwoman or superman where you can stop an oncoming car then that makes sense lol.
Have you ever? So you are making food for your kids. At my house my son usually eats something different then what everyone else eats cause of all his restrictions. You heat it up in the microwave and it smells really good. You are like well I have to make sure it isn't too hot. So you try it and it ends up being really yummy. So then you are like well maybe one more try to make sure it still isn't hot. But then you keep taking bites as you are feeding your child. You then realize that you ate more of the food then your child did LOL. I barely ever do this but after I feel bad and end up making him more food.
That is all for today, I know this post was a little different then my normal posts. Let me know what you think and if you want me to write more posts like this.
Bye for now
Kelly
